Art DirectorProduct Designer -

Working Schedule : Flexible work hours; a few hours of overlapping time with 9am4pm EST will be preferred

Salary Range :USD/month

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Product Ideation: Imagine and conceptualize new product ideas designs and styles that will grace the homes of families celebrating holidays (Halloween Christmas Easter etc.) and special occasions (birthdays baby showers wedding showers etc.).
• Art Direction: Brainstorm collaborate and problemsolve with our illustrator throughout the process of bringing products to life. This will include activities like compiling Pintereststyle boards for an upcoming product line drafting creative briefs detailing product specs functionality material and other details needed for our illustrator to design and manufacturing partners to produce.
• Closely Collaborate: You'll oversee and work very closely with our illustrator to bring engaging stylish designs to life. If a design element feels missing or doesn’t work cohesively with other design elements you should be a master at identifying it and proposing different fonts colors textures brush styles etc. to ultimately create a stunning visual outcome.
• You may also assist with other creative brand elements. Examples include designing marketing or social media graphics editing product listing photos visual ads and other creative elements.
• Stay Trendy: Keep abreast of style trends market demands and customer preferences to stay ahead in the world of product design.

Experience Requirements:

• 7 years of art director graphic design or illustrative experience.
• An exceptionally strong understanding of great design! You must understand how all design components (colors fonts layouts illustration style etc.) can best be brought together to achieve maximum emotional impact style and appeal.
• A strong understanding of design trends and styles that appeal to the North American market (primarily USA).
• Experience and interest in overseeing a team of creative designers. Currently we have just one fulltime illustrator with plans to hire additional staff in the next 612 months. Illustrators will work at the direction of the Art Director.
• Experience with a variety of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop Illustrator Procreate etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in learning product design that delights and spreads joy.
