Job Overview:
- The client Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Enterprise Systems Department department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team of innovators in driving advancements in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for software development teams.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with GitLab AWS Azure Kubernetes Docker and other related technologies.
- This individual will play a key role in modernizing our software development processes and infrastructure to achieve greater automation scalability and efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand current processes and identify areas for CI/CD implementation and improvement
- Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple software projects
- Automate deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software updates
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and scalability
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements to continuously improve our CI/CD capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role
- Strong understanding of GitLab AWS Azure Kubernetes Docker and other relevant tools and technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash Python or PowerShell
- Excellent problemsolving communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with crossfunctional teams researchers and faculty.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) a plus.
- 5 years of relevant working experience .
- Out of state candidates are accepted. East Coast strongly preferred
