Electrical Controls Engineer

Position: Electrical Controls Engineer Location: DeKalb IL (60115) Salary: $60k to $80k Relocation SignOn Bonus

1. Proficiency in designing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Software or equivalent
2. Ability to design and develop machine controls for heat seal packaging machinery
3. Experience in developing electrical enclosure panel layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent computer software

Job Description: As a key member of Sonoco a global packaging solutions leader you will design electrical control systems for heat seal packaging machinery. Responsibilities include designing schematics developing machine controls and testing electrical control circuits. Additionally you will integrate various systems program machine control components and manage multiple projects. Reporting directly to the Machinery Manufacturing Manager you will collaborate with engineering and assembly departments to ensure the functionality of machinery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming
• Experience in industrial equipment design testing and troubleshooting
• Competency in AutoCAD software or equivalent for electrical designing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation: The annual base salary ranges from $60675 to $72810 with an annual bonus awarded based on business and individual goals.
