Design Engineer - Midstream - NOV Inc

Job Summary:

Highly motivated selfdriven individual for engineering role designing pressure vessels with strong focus on quick opening closures.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:

• Design safe costeffective and customerfocused equipment in 3D or 2D environments with an emphasis on quality and ontime delivery. Candidate will work closely with design engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure that designs are code compliant manufacturable and robust.
• Generate check and approve assembly & machining drawings engineering procedures/specifications and bill of materials as directed by supervisor or as needed by projects.
• Assist with the redesigning of various parts and assemblies for cost effectiveness and improved performance.
• Analyze data to determine feasibility or product proposal for inside and outside sales team.
• Inputs technical data on various software platforms to generate manufacturing and customer documents.
• Works with manufacturing group in the implementation of engineering change orders for product sustaining and continual improvement activities.
• Assists in R&D activities through the testing repair assembly and disassembly of mechanical components.
• Completes test documentation and reports; performs special customerviewed dismantle inspection and provides documentation as required.
• Create check and approve product manuals and design files for the product lines. Provide necessary calculations required on new and existing designs as required by the project.
• Ensure design documentation is accurate and up to date. Function effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Performs other workrelated tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a design role for midstream or pipeline products.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge of ASME BPVC
• Knowledge of ASME Pipeline Code (B31.3 B31.4 B13.8)
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco 9COM or 9CAT systems is considered an asset
• Knowledge of AWS welding standards is considered an asset
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Proficient in SolidWorks PDM
• Knowledge of FEA software specifically ABAQUS is considered an asset
• Knowledge of PLM software specifically Teamcenter is considered an asset
