Controls Engineer

We are searching for a Controls Engineer with experience in electrical design as well as experience in programming PLCs or motioncontrolled systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make necessary electrical panel layout drawings electrical designs and electrical CAD schematics to ensure design meets industry and regulatory standards and project requirements.
  
• Make appropriate calculations research performance standards and component selection to ensure design specifications are met.
  
• Design various sections of equipment to meet required specifications.
  
• Prepare bills of material and other paperwork per internal standards.
  
• Attend and participate in design reviews for evaluation of work order requirements to design and cost implications.
  
• Design and develop machine logic in PLC operator interface applications and program servo motion controls.
  
• Check drawings and bills of materials as relates to assigned projects.
  
• Startup and debug machine prior to shipment.
  
• Assists in field startup and solving machine problems in field.
  
• Direct various design activities on assigned projects.
  
• Travel as required for the role. (around 20%)
  

Requirements

EDUCATION / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or a minimum of 2 years work experience in electrical design or a technical role.
  
• Working knowledge of controls (PLC HMI and Motion Controlled Programs)
  
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering design practices.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills on a technical level.
