Product Engineering - Test Engineer 2

GM is looking for highperforming development and validation engineers with engine transmission and drive unit experience. Responsibilities include planning developing and executing subsystem level tests in a world class testing and development facility. Tasks also include data analysis calibration development identifying opportunities for data reduction and leading the migration of labbased activities to math. This is an assignment where creativity initiative and independent judgment are involved and effective crossorganizational teamwork is crucial.

Location: MI Pontiac Engineering Center GPS 850 North Glenwood Avenue Bldg C ( Testing facility)

Onsite 5 days a week.

Education and Training
BS in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Computer Science or Physics

Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive engineering with engine transmission or drive unit knowledge
* Demonstrated drive for results
* Excellent planning and problemsolving skills
* High level of oral and written communication skills
* High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others and ability to establish peer relationships.
* Ability to prioritize work and resources and work independently with minimal direction
* Proficient with computer and data acquisition systems
* Experience in data analysis to optimize testing or model results
* Ability to travel as required for offsite testing (less than 15%)

Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience with AVL PUMA/IndiCom and ETAS INCA software
* Exposure to propulsion system calibration in test and vehicle environment
* 25 years of experience with engine transmission or drive unit testing calibration or hardware development
* Experience with engine dyno setup and testing

High level overview they are responsible for running an engine in a variety of different test cells to test the engines lubrication and ventilation systems. 20 or so different tests they call standard work that they would run for a particular engine. This is what they execute and are looking for help with this.
