Financial Controller

Our client the BIG FOUR consulting firm is hiring for the Controller position in Winnipeg. This is a contract position. The hourly compensation rate is negotiable. The end client is in the manufacturing industry. The role is fulltime time meaning the contractors working hours would be 37.5 hours/week

The Controller will be responsible for but is not limited to:

• Budgeting forecasting and cash flow analysis
• Periodend financial reporting and working paper preparation
• Financial management
• Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and inputs
• Understanding implementing and monitoring an adequate control environment
• Supervise an accounting team
• Accounting software literacy and ability to transact in multiple programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced level of MS Office Suite proficiency (e.g. MS Excel Outlook Word)
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Understanding implementing and monitoring an adequate control environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as on a team.

Requirements:

• CPA
• Previous experience as financial controller in manufacturing industry
• Oversight of full cycle accounting team
• Review of accounting reconciliations transactions and working papers
• Preparation of accounting working papers and schedules
• Financial reporting experience
