Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our shipping and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operation including coordinating shipments optimizing routes overseeing warehouse activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of shipping and logistics operations including coordinating inbound and outbound shipments managing transportation routes and optimizing delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers monitoring shipments from origin to destination and addressing any issues or delays that arise.
• Supervise warehouse operations including inventory management order fulfillment and loading/unloading of goods to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency reduce costs and improve customer service levels.
• Manage a team of logistics coordinators warehouse staff and drivers providing leadership training and support to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams including sales customer service and finance to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all aspects of the business.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners including carriers vendors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards and to drive continuous improvement in service quality.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate operational performance identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay uptodate with industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in shipping and logistics continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience in shipping and logistics operations with a strong understanding of logistics management principles processes and best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of diverse individuals to achieve common goals.
