Construction Engineer

Midwest multidisciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Engineer to their Chicago team!

• Serve as liaison with contractor on a variety of projects ranging from roadways and bridges to underground installation and treatment plant construction
  
• Coordinate construction activity with clients internal departments and contractors/public agencies
  
• Assist design team with detailed drawings as needed
  
• Work directly with clients
  
• Provide general civil engineering duties
  
• Duties include:
  

o Conduct onsite observation of work repairs and tests

o Maintain job site records of daily reports job meeting minutes approved drawings and pay requests

o Observe measure and document construction activities

o Maintain daily log of construction activities

o Review pay requests and verify completed work

• B.S. Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an accredited college with an emphasis in construction engineering
  
• 8 years of construction engineering experience
  
• PE license
  
• IDOT/Tollway experience
  
• Previous experience on IDOT or Illinois Tollway projects
  
• Chicago DOT and METRA construction experience preferred
  
• Computer skills and mastery of proprietary software (IDOT CMMS program etc)
