As our PR Manager you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the PR strategy in the Netherlands.

The responsibilities

• Setting up and implementing the PR strategy to optimally support the Polestar brand philosophy products and services in the Netherlands reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Head of Marketing;
• Establish and manage a strong network of media relations and relevant influencers;
• Acting as the face and point of contact for journalists relevant influencers and media parties (local or national) governments business partners and employees customers industry associations and other stakeholders;
• Creating media attention and a strong brand reputation through a distinctive approach to corporate events & communication;
• Responsible for setting up coordinating and rolling out the event plan. You also coordinate PR & event activities in collaboration with the Retail Spaces and Polestar Investors;
• Always be aware of news media and market developments whereby you translate opportunities and possible threats to the internal organization.

The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role and at Polestar in general there are a few characteristics youll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. The ability to take the initiative to meet deadlines and requirements and to abandon ideas when theyre not feasible. Added we are looking for the following.

• You have at least a completed HBO degree (Communication Journalism or Business/Economics) and you have proven your worth in PR in any case;
• You are looking for a parttime role for three days a week (0.6 FTE);
• A broad experience and relevant network within the world of design/lifestyle tech and/or sustainability is valuable to us. Understanding of and experience in the automotive industry is considered a plus but we will be happy to be proven otherwise;
• Obviously you are very strong in writing and verbally in both Dutch and English and you have excellent presentation skills where you thrive in a fastpaced startup environment;
• As a Polestar ambassador you are representative able to switch easily between different levels you have astrong business senseand above all you have a gettingthingsdone mentality;
• You are able to manage multiple stakeholders (in the Netherlands and Sweden) through a matrix structure;
• Experience in working with agencies/consultants and budget control combined with strong organizational and time management skills;
• Because of your connection with sustainability and technological innovations you have a passion for the Polestar brand and you quickly become familiar with all the ins and outs of these products and market;
• You are willing to travel with some regularity.
