Hot Rolling Operator

Company Overview:

Our client a leading manufacturer in the metal fabrication industry specializing in highquality hotrolled products seeks to hire a skilled Hot Rolling Operator to join their production team. As a Hot Rolling Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hot rolling mills to produce metal sheets or bars according to specified dimensions and tolerances. This role requires precision attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hot rolling mills to roll metal into sheets or bars of specified dimensions.
  
• Set up and adjust rolling mill equipment to produce metal products according to production specifications.
  
• Monitor gages meters and control panels to ensure proper operation of the rolling process.
  
• Inspect rolled metal for surface defects dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  
• Make adjustments to rolling speed temperature and pressure as needed to achieve desired product specifications.
  
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of rolling mill equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as necessary.
  
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  
  
  

• Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in metalworking or a related field is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Hot Rolling Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rolling mill operations.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
  
• Knowledge of metallurgy and metal properties.
  
• Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  

Working Conditions:

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where adherence to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The Circle Cutting Operator may be required to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials.
