Your role

As our next Java Backend Developer you play a major role in creating developing and testing backend applications as well as APIs.

• You use your Java experience to create a scalable software architecture
• You develop Javabased backend components in conjunction with the underlying database
• You develop REST APIs by utilizing a modern Javabased framework
• You create fully automated tests for the features you develop
• You connect the API to the search index to ensure an appropriate search experience
• You closely cooperate with the frontend developers and the design team
• You actively participate and take ownership throughout the whole development process

Your profile

• Relevant experience in backend and API development or educational background in related fields
• Excellent command of Java relational and nonrelational databases
• Good command of software architecture automated testing and design of REST APIs
• Nicetohave: JavaScript NestJS DevOps containerization and Kubernetes
• Enthusiasm for User Experience (usability accessibility) and a detailoriented qualityfocused work style
• Motivation and passion for learning new things and honing your skills
• You dont speak German No big deal English is our main language
