On behalf of one of its clients an import export company the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Business Development Manager (part time role)


The hiring company an importexport enterprise specializing in African and Singapore markets seeks a proactive and resultsdriven Business Development Manager to spearhead the companys growth and expansion within emerging economic markets across Africa and Singapore.


As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and strengthening the companys business relationships with African and Singapore markets. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification: Actively search for new business opportunities in African markets analyzing market trends identifying potential customer needs and evaluating competitors.

  • Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential business partners including distributors agents suppliers and customers to develop mutually beneficial business opportunities.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to promote the companys products in African ans Singapore markets in collaboration with relevant internal teams.

  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead business negotiations develop competitive proposals and secure favorable business deals for the company.

  • Client Management: Ensure regular followup with existing clients manage any issues that may arise and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market and competitor developments providing analysis and recommendations to maintain the companys competitiveness.


Requirements

Bachelors degree in a relevant field (international business management marketing etc.).

Relevant professional experience in business development and sales ideally in the importexport sector and/or African markets.

Excellent communication negotiation and customer relationship management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.

Strong results orientation and ability to work under pressure.

Proficiency in English knowledge of African or french languages would be an asset to liaise with the clients and the suppliers.


Min 5 years experience in BD/sales role Strong knowledge in freight forwarding (min. 2 years) Diploma or above in Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent; English, fluent Additional language is a plus SOFT SKILLS: Ability to build relationships Positive-Creative Mindset Self-motivated and driven by targets Teamwork and collaboration Customer solution oriented Excellent communication skills, verbal and writing Organizational skills and attention to detail Negotiation skills Only Singapore-based candidates will be considered Our client can't sponsor any visa.
