About the Role

Were seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our Stuttgart team! Reporting to the Country Manager of BYD Automotive GmbH youll closely collaborate with our procurement team and marketing team in the Netherlands and/or China HQ. This role primarily focuses on media procurement requiring expertise in strategic purchasing to drive our marketing efforts effectively. As a key player youll excel in crossdepartmental collaboration and budget management ensuring our media purchasing strategies align with company goals. Main Objectives & Responsibilities:

1. Optimize procurement processes to ensure compliance with company procurement policies and German laws and regulations covering both media (including various traditional and nontraditional advertising channels) and general procurement.
2. Maintain close contact with suppliers obtain competitive quotes and generate accurate purchase orders based on the requirements of the requesting department overseeing the entire procurement process.
3. Monitor payment status and resolve payment issues for procurement activities including reviewing incoming invoices and serving as the primary contact person regarding corresponding cost issues.
4. Prepare regular reports analyze procurement data and provide decision support to ensure measurable success documenting the entire campaign in accordance with company policies and legal requirementsshaping the department with innovative ideas.
5. Lead the implementation of information systems for efficient procurement operations ensuring seamless adaptation and utilization by team members for both media and general procurement tasks.
6. Act as a liaison between the procurement department and other internal teams.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business Administration or a related field.
2. At least 3 years of experience in procurement or a similar role preferably within the automotive industry.
3. Fluency in German and English is essential. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
4. Strong analytical organizational and negotiation skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
