We are hiring a Director of Nursing DON for our Nursing Home in Co Tipperary. This job is for someone who wants to join a busy and wellestablished nursing home group. The Director of Nursing will play a key role in leading our nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of highquality care to our residents.
Duties :
- Creating and maintaining a residential environment where residents feel supported and valued
- Providing leadership and clinical supervision to staff to enhance standards and morale
- Establishing and upholding high standards of professional practice and ensuring the nursing home environment meets the physical emotional social and spiritual needs of residents
- Serving as a resource to nursing staff in planning and implementing care
- Promoting encouraging and practicing personcentered care which is essential for ensuring the wellbeing of residents
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels for highquality care delivery and smooth operations
- Flexibility is required as availability to work night and weekend shifts may be necessary
Requirements
- Live NMBI Registration
- Postregistration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of previous work experience in a management role is required
- At least 6 years of postregistration nursing experience
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to older individuals
- Possession of a valid Irish Drivers License and access to personal transportation are essential requirements
