We are hiring a Senior Occupational Therapist for a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist inpatients daycare clients and outpatients with excellent professional occupational therapy by providing handson treatment as well as appropriate instruction and demonstration.
- Encourage staff members to feel a common sense of dedication to and involvement in the growth of the occupational therapy service.
- Take part in the creation of the services plans and if needed keep an eye on and report on their execution.
- Take part in and assist with any internal or external service evaluation.
- Establish guidelines for patient services and complaints.
- Make sure that all professional practice rules and regulations are followed especially those that pertain to upholding quality assurance standards.
- Stay informed about the most recent advancements in occupational therapy by utilizing the most recent research to improve patient care.
Requirements
- A recognized and verified occupational therapy qualification such as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
- A minimum of three years experience in acute hospital settings providing acute medical treatment hand therapy rheumatology elderly care and oncology and palliative care.
- Membership in the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists or a comparable professional association for therapy. (Desirable)
- Experience in an acute environment and familiarity with participating in multidisciplinary teams.
