Senior Software Developer

Salary:Up to 62000 per annum

Contract: 12month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a talented individual who will design implement and maintain Pharmaceutical Presss publishing software systems and customerfacing digital products.

Requirements:

• Design and implement systems and software to meet PhPs requirements using appropriate tools and methods.

• Promote the creation of highquality code by commitment to practices such as testdriven development pair programming and code review.

• Be responsible for the technical development of all stages of software creation including testing; ensure that implementation meets security performance and safety requirements.
  

• Suggest improvements to the code base development processes tooling and working practices. Encourage innovation by identifying evaluating and adoption of emerging technologies.

• Assist with the design implementation and testing of open APIs.
  

Knowledge & Skills:

• Able to demonstrate commercial software development experience.
  
  
• Practical experience in system design development testing and operational stability.
  
  
• Deep knowledge and experience in Python and its ecosystem patterns and pitfalls.
  
  
• Experience applying continuous delivery test driven development and pair programming.
  
  
• Experience of working in an agile environment and an understanding of Scrum principles in particular.
  
  
• Experience writing and consuming RESTful APIs in Python.
  
  
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda SQS API gateways S3).

The Directorate

This role will work closely with our Delivery Lead Data Quality Manager Lead Architect Software Developers and Chief Technology Officer.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way which means you will be able to work from home however there will be an expectation for collaborative facetoface working on average and typically this may be something between 48 working days per month at our London Office.
