Ultrasound Technologist

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing ultrasound scans on patients based on physician orders.
• Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment ensuring its proper functionality.
• Explaining procedures to patients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Positioning patients and equipment to obtain the necessary images.
• Evaluating image quality and ensuring that the appropriate images are captured.
• Assisting radiologists and physicians in interpreting ultrasound images.
• Maintaining patient records and ensuring the confidentiality of medical information.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification in ultrasound technology.
• Strong understanding of anatomy physiology and pathophysiology.
• Proficiency in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in image capture and documentation.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques in the field of ultrasound.
• Strong decisionmaking and critical thinking skills.
