Our Client is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have sustained nonstructural damage such as dents scratches and minor body damage. The ideal candidate should have experience in repairing and replacing damaged body panels and using specialized tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of nonstructural damage on vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed.
- Repairing and replacing damaged body panels with new or used parts depending on the customers preference and budget.
- Sanding filling welding and smoothing vehicle surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- Utilizing specialized tools and equipment to repair dents scratches and other nonstructural damage.
- Communicating effectively with team members and to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and timelines.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Keeping uptodate with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair with an emphasis on nonstructural repairs.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
- Ability to mix and match paint to achieve an exact color match.
- Experience in repairing dents scratches and other nonstructural damage.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant certification(s) such as ASE NonStructural Technician or ICAR Gold Class certification is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend stoop and reach overhead.
