Purpose and Scope of the Job:

Transport Coordinator will be responsible for efficiently managing and coordinating transportation activities within the organization. This role involves overseeing the transportation requirement and ensuring timely and costeffective transportation solutions. The Transport Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders including drivers suppliers and internal departments to streamline logistics processes and optimize transportation operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards:

  • Develop efficient and costeffective transportation routes for the timely delivery of services.
  • Optimize routes to minimize fuel consumption reduce transportation costs and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure they have clear instructions and are aware of delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate the timely pickup and delivery of services resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Schedule transportation services based on demand and operational requirements.
  • Dispatch vehicles and monitor their progress making realtime adjustments as needed to address any delays or changes in plans.
  • Stay informed about transportation regulations and compliance standards ensuring all operations adhere to legal requirements.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Address and resolve any transportationrelated issues including delays damages or customer complaints.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems and enhance overall service quality.
  • Utilize transportation management systems and other relevant technologies to streamline processes track services and generate reports
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and recommend the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency
  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with internal teams external partners and drivers to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Provide regular updates on transportation activities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned to meet Departmental and Hospital goals and objectives.
  • Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied.
  • Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
  • Provides or promotes People Centered Care.
  • Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.

Qualifications Competences and Skills

Education: Bachelor Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in transportation coordination or Logistics Management.

Two or more years of responsible related experience with knowledge of Kuwait Routes and handling location tracker/GPS etc.

Licensure: NA

Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English Languages

Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with transportation management systems and related software

Performance Competencies:

  • Excellent managing communication and people skills.
  • Mapreading and first aid skills are also important.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Punctuality politeness and the ability to remain calm under any condition will be valued.
  • Must be reasonably fit with normal hearing and vision.

  • Call Center staff HODs of different departments
  • Staff Staying in Hospital Accommodation
  • Patients /Family (When Driving Ambulance)
