Software Engineer C C - embedded amp applications

Our client is developing products for the aerospace and defense industries and even though relatively small a global key player in AS5643 and IEEE1394 bus technology with offices around the globe. At their R&D location in the Nijmegen areathe development maintenance and support for all products is centralized.

As software engineer you will be part of a small but highly experienced team of PCB VHDL and software engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of software areas ranging from embedded software in C running on Xilinx FPGAs to Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) development using QT in C running on MS Windows and Linux (the latter being the main focus in this position). This offers you an chance to acquire software development experience on all layers of our software stack.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in writing wellstructured C code with QT Widgets based UI development experience.

The role

• Design and implement host GUI software in C using QT Widgets running on MS Windows
• Make use of GitLab version control and bug tracking tools in order to support a stable and reliable software release process;
  develop scripts using Python to support build process automation and continuous integration
• Perform supporting activities like troubleshooting debugging report writing and answering support questions
• Have the option to develop yourself within the team and work on other aspects like embedded software in C running on a Xilinx FPGA for our IEEE1394 and AS5643 products
