Overall Purpose of The Job
The Public Relations and Human Resources Officer is the direct contact with all Government Departments; should have good working relationships with all departments at the senior level as to ensure all official and legal formalities are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position is responsible for providing assistance on HR matters specifically in coordination with external parties payroll and benefits administration
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- To coordinate the collection and processing of documents required for inbound and outbound immigration and all related duties with government departments.
- Be up to date with regards to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations changes in forms / formats and other procedures and keep the Human Resources Department advised of such changes.
- Manage Company Business Licenses Mainland & Freezone and Registration/renewal of membership with Economic Department Chamber of Commerce Municipalities etc.
- Responsible to the GM to manage Employees immigration visa ID card medical insurance entry exit and related documents.
- Responsible to the GM and coordinate with the relevant Group HR Resource in handling all g Responsible for the submission of preemployment requirements and processing of visa application and renewal requirements as applicable.
- Responsible for local payroll and benefits administration
- Responsible for maintenance of pertinent employee records including employment contracts visas and others required by the ministry of manpower/local labor authorities.
- Coordinates onboarding activities for new hires under the direction of the General/Office Manager including issuance of Company ID and equipment to new hires
general inquiries concerning labour and immigration matters.
- Assist office admin /facility/utilities/lease agreement/employee accommodation/etc. as required
- Manage the allocated petty cash expenditure through maintaining original receipts and through timely preparation of expense reports and report for GM approval.

Essential
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Public Relations Officer preferably with in the maritime industry
- Updated knowledge on all procedures and requirements related to government departments and ministries
- Good command of both spoken Arabic and English
- Omani Driving License
- Computer skills MSOffice & Internet
