Ophthalmologist for OPD

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and assessments.
• Performing surgical procedures such as cataract surgery LASIK and other corrective surgeries.
• Diagnosing and treating eye conditions such as glaucoma macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Utilizing medical imaging techniques to evaluate eye health and detect abnormalities.
• Educating patients about eye health preventive care and treatment options.
• Participating in research and staying updated with advancements in ophthalmology.
• Documenting patient medical histories and treatment plans accurately.
• Managing and maintaining medical equipment and instruments.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in ophthalmology.
• Board certification in ophthalmology.
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated experience in performing ophthalmic surgeries.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decisionmaking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in utilizing medical imaging technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
