Refrigetarion Maintenance Technician

At The Wise Seeker we a looking for a refrigetarion maintenance technician for important company of the food industry.

Functions

1. The company refrigeration mechanics monitor operate repair ammonia systems and refrigeration equipment including but not limited to: Compressors Evaporators Condensers Piping systems Insulation systems and General equipment related to Ammonia systems.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance and conduct safety checks throughout their area.
3. Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor/manager
4. Comply with all safety food safety GMP and SQF
5. Prefer experience with plant compressed air system and all water supply systems (Ex: Chill water hot water city water and glycol systems).

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a basic physical and pass a pulmonary test (breathing test). You must be able to wear a Respirator (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). Completion of respirator training certification will be required.
• Standing walking bending stretching pushing and reaching are required in all areas must be able to climb up/downstairs and ladders.
• Must be able to work in harsh environments for short periods of time (Ex: Heat cold rain snow wind water mud etc.).
• Position requires the team member to move to different areas of the plant and deal with different temperatures and environment in accordance to where they are needed.
• Must have strong communication skills to be able to communicate with various members of management Quality Assurance vendors and USDA. The applicant must be able to understand technical training manuals.
• Must be capable to read write and use math skills in order to complete necessary paperwork.
• Must be able to work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be willing work other shifts to cover for vacation training and special projects etc
• Refrigeration or Process Safety Management (PSM) experience is preferred not required.
• Experience or education on any refrigeration system is a plus with a willingness to learn the ammonia refrigeration trade.
• Must have a minimum of (6) months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last (12) months or currently attending/graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last (3) years.

Benefits

• This position starts at $33.90/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job.
• This a 2nd shift position is required to work from 4:00pm 4:00am.
