Person Profile
The Graphic Designer should be a caring inspirational passionate adaptable creative and innovative member of staff. He/she should be an outstanding motivator learner administrator and communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and should be capable to produce graphic designs that accurately represent the schools activities and projects. Additionally he/ she should be able to capture the essence of school life through photography and videography. He/She will also provide assistance in the daytoday tasks of the Communications Department and contribute to the overall development of the school by fostering a nurturing engaging and wellstructured environment.
Requirements
Qualifications.
- Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Experience in 2D/3D graphic design of equivalent
- Demonstrate knowledge and some experience with videography
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Strong eye for aesthetics and details
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in graphic and web design
- Good communication skills fluent in English Arabic is an addition
- Ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge and Skills. He/She should:
- be aligned with the ISL values of diversity passion identity and understanding
- possess excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of marketing
- Proficiency in relevant design methods techniques applications and software such as Adobe InDesign Illustrator Photoshop and other visual design tools.
- have the ability to develop and work with teams including collaborating and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of the school administration departments and employees
- ability to analyse evaluate and prioritise challenges and issues and develop workable solutions when working on a project
- have an innovative and creative approach to marketing based on best current practice
- have the ability to manage multiple priorities and fulfil responsibilities with minimal direction
- have an excellent command of spoken and written English (strong ability in Arabic would also be a great asset)
Responsibilities. He/She will be responsible for:
- Fostering the values dispositions behaviours attitudes and attributes of the ISL Qatar guiding statements and IB learner profile
- Lead graphic design tasks refining projects drafts and generating new ideas
- Supporting staff on the usage of brand guidelines
- Supporting the documentation of virtual and physical classes and events
- Provide report to the Head of Head of Advancement related to the website social media and design projects on weekly basis
- Ensuring that the academic content is reflected correctly on all projects
- Ensuring branding guidelines are reflected around the campusEnsuring that all multimedia communications are aligned that the visual identity is maintained and all work produced is brand GDPR and copyright compliant.
- Creating and updating an archive of the school s audiovisual content.
- Supporting colleagues in the maintenance of the school s communication channels.
- Working on projects to create a positive experience for prospective families and other community members.
- Monitoring both internal and external calendar of events through all forms of communications
- lead in the graphic design that serves as a content for the website social media platforms and yearbook
