• Plan and execute the migration strategy from VMware to Proxmox including assessing current infrastructure identifying migration paths and developing a detailed migration plan.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including IT teams management and endusers to communicate the migration plan gather requirements and address concerns.
• Configure and optimize Proxmox virtualization environment to meet performance scalability and availability requirements.
• Perform premigration assessments to analyze existing VMware infrastructure including virtual machines storage and networking configurations.
• Develop scripts or automation tools to streamline migration tasks and ensure consistency across environments.
• Conduct testing and validation of migrated workloads to ensure compatibility functionality and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams during the migration process troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.
• Document migration procedures configurations and best practices for future reference.
• Collaborate with vendors consultants and internal teams to resolve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies trends and best practices in virtualization and cloud computing.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Engineer Systems Administrator or similar role with a focus on virtualization technologies.
• Indepth knowledge of VMware virtualization platform including vSphere ESXi vCenter and vMotion.
• Handson experience with Proxmox virtualization platform including installation configuration and administration.
• Strong understanding of server hardware storage systems and networking concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell Bash or Python for automation tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Proxmox Certified Administrator (PCA) is a plus.
