Summary:
We are seeking a ServiceNow Security Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module to enhance our hospitals security posture ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protect sensitive patient data. This role involves configuring and managing the SecOps suite developing security incident response workflows and collaborating with IT and cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module according to best practices and hospital security requirements.
- Develop and maintain security incident response workflows including the automation of common tasks and integration with other security tools.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to identify assess and prioritize security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure the effective tracking and documentation of security incidents and vulnerabilities within ServiceNow facilitating thorough investigation and response efforts.
- Develop custom reports and dashboards within ServiceNow to provide visibility into the security posture of the hospital to senior management.
- Conduct regular system audits and compliance checks leveraging ServiceNow to ensure adherence to healthcare security regulations (e.g. HIPAA) and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to IT and security staff on using ServiceNow SecOps for efficient incident and vulnerability management.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats ServiceNow updates and best practices in security operations to continually enhance the hospitals security measures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security with at least 1 year of handson experience with ServiceNow Security Operations.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles frameworks and regulations particularly those relevant to the healthcare industry (e.g. HIPAA).
- Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g. CISSP CISM) and ServiceNow (e.g. Certified Implementation Specialist Security Incident Response) are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting and automation within ServiceNow.
- Experience with integrating thirdparty security tools into ServiceNow.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to train and mentor staff on security operations best practices.
