WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

THE ROLE

This is a technical role to join a team working on data engineering at CloserStill Media. This team is responsible for ensuring that data is securely managed and flows effectively from source to final user.

As CSM continues developing state of the art techniques this person needs to also work closely with Machine Learning Engineers and understand and operate advanced AI models.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Data flow: Design build and maintain data pipelines APIs and protocols as needed to implement and improve CSs strategy.
• Data Storage: Design build and maintain bestinclass data storage solutions best suited to the business requirements and all data types whether structured unstructured large or small rapid access or cold storage and including metadata hierarchies and ontologies.
• AI at scale: Facilitate maintenance and update of AI models across all shows and locations. Ensure data is fit for purpose as required by AI models.
• Cloud management: Support the team in managing the cloud infrastructure ensuring data integrity security and access control while facilitating relevant access.
• Automating processes: Identify opportunities for automation and implement bestinclass solutions that are both robust and scalable.
• Scalingup: Actively support and comaintain best practices in DataOps and ML Ops starting with micro services.
• Decisionsupport tools: Support data analytics leaders in designing building and maintaining decisionsupport tools such as dashboards and automated notification solutions.
• Technology Evolution: Stay uptodate with latest trends in cloudbased data engineering and development.
• Relationship Building and influencing: Work closely with other teams in the organisation to identify needs and support overall success of the business.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Expert level and at least 2 years experience working with Azure including ADF Synapse Power Automate Purview and virtual machines.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
• Familiarity with MACH frameworks (Microservices APIbased Cloud first Headless)
• Hands on programming skills preferably on Python and JS as well as data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Experience with deployment of productionlevel data and software solutions.
• Specific experience building data relaytype layers and its associated protocols to integrate data flows from and to multiple third parties.
• Interest on and exposure to on Generative AI are beneficial.
• Desired exposure to modern metadata management ontologies and knowledge graphs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to work sidebyside with highperforming team as well as openness and flexibility to learn adopt and adapt new technologies.
• Able to multitask and work in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of events and media industries might be beneficial but not required.
