Cardiovascular Surgical Tech

We are looking for an Cardiovascular Surgical Tech in Hackensack NJ. We need someone with a minimum 2 year Experience as an RN CST.

Contract: 13 weeks

Shift: Day and Night

Confirmed Hours: 40/week (8x5)

Pay Package:

Blended Rate: $58.59/hr. (For Travelers)

Package for Travelers: (Based on 40 hours per week)
Total Gross Income: $2343.6/week
NonTaxable: $1512/week
Taxable: $831.6/week

Certification: Required BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association).
Surgical Technician Certificate
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of New Jersey or Compact State.

Duties
Prepare operating rooms for surgery ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments sutures and other supplies
Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure to prevent infection
Monitor patient vital signs during surgery and report any abnormalities to the surgical team
Collect and document data related to the surgical procedure including patient information surgical counts and specimen handling
Assist with positioning and transferring patients before and after surgery
Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after each procedure
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Epic to document patient information accurately
