Job Title: Market Development Specialist

Function: Commercial USA

Location: Miami Florida

Contract: Full Time / Permanent 40 hours per week TuesdaySaturday. Minimum of two Saturdays a month with regular travel to key N.A.B.C.A. markets. This role will require regular evening hours as account activations dictate.

What the opportunity looks like:

The Market Development Specialist will be dedicated to building trade and consumer advocates for Jura Tamnavulin and The Dalmore brands in the mustwin N.A.B.C.A. markets. The Market Development Specialist will work sidebyside with our importer brokers and state boards ensuring stores are properly stocked merchandized and sales associates educated on key selling points. The MDS will be a trusted authority on the category as well as our brands delivering elevated staff trainings consumer events and tastings in both channels.

What you will do:

Retailer Training & Advocacy

• Ensure TWM and BevMo sales associates are trained and motivated to sell our brands to consumers.
• Become a trusted presence in area stores and on premise accounts with regular visits reinforcing key messages.
• Partner with and influence brokers and the trade to make Whyte and Mackay the Scotch whisky supplier of choice.
• Make certain assigned accounts lead the market in velocity and depletions.

Consumer Tastings

• Drive consumer trial and purchase with a regular program of tastings instore and in the onpremise.
• Plan and execute ticketed offsite consumer tasting events creating new advocates for our whiskies.
• Execute a strategy from the Market Development Manager to reach consumers in and out of store always with an aim to push sales back to partner retailers.

Store Merchandizing

• Enforce and maintain ideal brand standards in store with detailed attention to inventory shelving and adjacencies.
• Serve as Whyte and Mackays eyes and ears in accounts reporting not only on our brands representation in stores but that of our competitors as well

Brand Programming and Support

• Maximize instore programming from Consumer Marketing and Gallo Spirits Business Unit.
• Work with team and partners (Gallo distributor sales teams store managers) to ensure agreedupon assets and programming are in place and activated per brand plans.

For this role were looking for:

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in the beer wine or spirits industry.
• A valid drivers license clean driving record and access to a vehicle.
• Proficient in all MS Office software.
• Excellent understanding of social media and digital marketing.
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Energetic and dynamic selfstarter
• Passion for building brands
• Familiarly with three tier system in beverage alcohol industry and laws that regulate supplier activity.
• Confident and convincing presenter
