Senior System Center Orchestrator SCORCH Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer to support the Naval Enterprise Network Engineering Team. This is a fulltime position working as a Senior System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) Engineer in San Diego CA. The Senior Systems Engineer will shape the Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) solution by leading engineering and architecture for our client. This is a fully onsite role.

• Lead engineering and architecture for our client.
• Perform administrative design engineering and operational tasks for an enterprise global SCORCH system supporting the Navy.
• Perform proactive security posture review; patch installation; custom SCORCH role and runbook development.
• Create custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies. Building executive dashboards will all be crucial aspects of ensuring the systems optimal functionality.
• Identify application and infrastructure automation needs implement new solutions and processes that fix issues and continually strive toward moving from a reactive stance to a proactive stance.
• Work closely with the application and infrastructure teams to set up automation runbooks for applications servers databases and network devices to ensure solutions are deployed and supported with little manual intervention.
• Support onsite delivery at least 1 day a week (with a likelihood of growing onsite requirements as stipulated by the Govt client).

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Experience working in large enterprise operations environment including the identification development analysis scheduling and managing of enterprise IT activities solutions and risk mitigations artifacts and migrations.
• Experience with architecting designing securing installing troubleshooting and documenting integrated server or network solutions.

• 7 years of experience in an IT system engineering role including developing architecture and design of complex distributed IT systems environments.
• 5 years of experience with SCORCH with the installation configuration and administration of Microsoft System Center Orchestrator.
• 3 years of experience with mid to enterprisescale networks.
• HS diploma or GED.
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security CE CCNASecurity GSEC or SSCP) in addition to Operating Environment (OE) certification for Microsoft Platforms/Solutions.

• Experience with applying systems engineering fundamental concepts processes practices and procedures on technical assignments.
• Experience with enterprise server storage networking software and application services or equivalent depth in a single solution platform.
• Experience in collaborating with other internal and external enterprise technologists to resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience in supporting and coordinating across seniorlevel organizations.
• Experience with mentoring junior team members.
• Experience with cloudbased technology.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting.
• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or Engineering.
• A CASP or CISSP Certification.
