Our People (HR) Assistant vacancy:

We are recruiting for a HR Assistant to join a team to undertake daily administrative and HR duties within an organisation. This involves maintaining and updating the HRIS onboarding new employees ensuring that legislative requirements are upheld in terms of eligibility to work checks are completed in the correct fashion and supporting the Finance team with Payroll information. The role will be a key contact for the business supporting on recruitment adverts updating our applicant tracking system and ensuring that job offers are sent out efficiently and accurately.


HR Assistant Responsibilities

HR Assistant have a number of responsibilities which they must complete on a daily basis:

  • Assisting with general employee processes such as hiring recruiting vetting candidates and assisting with interviews
  • Compiling and organising papers digital employment records such as holidays and sick pay
  • Supporting HR related training programs and workshops
  • Writing and submitting reports on general HR daily activities
  • Sitting in HR events and meetings as well as coordinating management employee meetings
  • Continually learning the latest and best HR practices to improve workplace efficiency
  • Supporting our compliance with ISO standards processes
  • Supporting the office managers to ensure Health & Safety requirements are met

Person specification

  • A minimum of 2 years professional experience in an advisory role with a proven track record of successful project management and delivery.
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition employment law and employee engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise employee correspondence to high standards.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office package (Word Excel Outlook Email Microsoft Teams)
  • Proactive and a completer finisher mentality.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable to a forever evolving business
  • Competency in HR software and digital tools (HRIS Engagement Tools Digital design is desirable)
  • Teamworking skills
  • Effective relationship building skills with a commercial outlook
  • Manage conflict and create conflict resolutions
  • Foundation level Human Resources qualification such as CHRP. MCIPD (desirable)
