Job Overview:
Senior Quality Assurance Manager in assisting the Office of Information Technology with infrastructure support for remediation required for systems that interface with statewide accounting data.
As a result of the Departments efforts to reengineer and modernize core financial systems there are nearly 1000 computing assets identified as performing some level of financial planning analysis and management functionality that are impacted by the State of Floridas accounting system. The Florida Planning Accounting and Ledger Management (PALM) project is a multiyear endeavor to replace the State of Floridas accounting and cash management systems with a modern financial management solution. The Florida PALM Project is targeted to replace Central Payroll and Departmental FLAIR functionality with golive scheduled for January 2026.
The computing assets are comprised of interfaces enterprise applications databases automated processes and reporting programs within FDOT that will require remediation due to:
The computing asset modifications to complete the PALM System Transition (FPST) will take place over the course of three years in alignment with the Florida PALM Project scheduled timeline.
Over 120 of the computing assets are interfaces either between financial applications or with the state accounting system. These interfaces were written on outdated technology that simply will not work with the new more modern state accounting system.
