JOB PURPOSE:
The candidate should be a highly skilled and detailoriented Laboratory Equipment Sourcing Specialist to manage the procurement of supplies from vendors oversee tendering processes track goods clearing and facilitate permit applications.
A successful candidate should streamline procurement processes ensure timely and costeffective acquisition of laboratory equipment and supplies and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Success is evidenced by efficient vendor management successful completion of permit applications and seamless coordination of goods clearing procedures
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source and procure laboratory equipment supplies and materials from reliable vendors while ensuring compliance with quality standards and budgetary constraints.
- Manage the entire tendering process including the preparation of bid documents solicitation of quotations evaluation of proposals and contract negotiation with vendors.
- Stay updated on online tendering platforms such as NEST EProz and other Tendering platforms and ensure adherence to their respective requirements and procedures throughout the procurement process.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to track the clearance of goods through customs and ensure timely delivery to designated locations.
- Facilitate the application process for permits and regulatory approvals related to the importation and distribution of laboratory equipment including but not limited to permits that should be applied from TMDA TBS GCLA and other related regulatory authorities.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions including purchase orders invoices delivery receipts and permits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including laboratory managers researchers and procurement teams to understand their equipment and supply needs and provide timely procurement support.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify new vendors assess market trends and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Stay informed about advancements in laboratory equipment technology industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Timely and accurate reporting as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related Subjects
Work experience: 2 years experience Indepth knowledge of laboratory tools equipment and supplies as well as familiarity with online tendering platforms and procurement procedures.
Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word & Power point Email etiquette
Language: English proficiency both written and spoken.
Other Experiences: Class D Driver s License
