First Foundation a leading independent mortgage and insurance brokerage based in Edmonton Alberta is seeking a great person to join our team. Specifically we are hiring one person to join our rapidly growing company in the position of an "Administrative Assistant".

Role and Responsibilities

You will also be responsible for assisting in the process of protecting some of the largest financial transactions our clients will ever have. You will a valued part of a high performance team that is committed to saving people time money and grief.


This role s main function is to assist our teams of mortgage and insurance professionals ensuring our clients receive the best service possible. Such tasks include but are not limited to:

  1. Greeting our valued clients industry members and other friendly visitors
  2. Obtaining organizing and compiling information pertaining to client applications
  3. Answering and directing calls emails mail and faxes to employees of the brokerage
  4. Preparing documents and promotional information for broker or associates
  5. Maintaining general operation of the office environment
  6. Assisting with the Bookkeeping and Human Resources teams
  7. Potential for advancement to a licensed mortgage broker or personal insurance account manager position.

As an Administrative Assistant at First Foundation you will be a parttime employee working in a professional office environment shared by other professionals. You will be in a position to interact with clients in person at our office over the phone over email and the web. Your working hours will be negotiable but some time during MondayFriday 9am 5pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Preference for postsecondary completion
  • Great keyboarding skills
  • Better than average computer operator including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Google Workspace and systems like them
  • Sales and customer service skills are an asset
  • Accounting and bookkeeping skills are an asset
  • Excellent time management
  • Able to work at a fast pace managing multiple objectives for a number of colleagues and clients
  • Positive attitude
  • Reliable and consistent attendance at scheduled times
  • We need someone who is organized attentive positive and who thrives in a teamwork environment and has a great ability to troubleshoot and make things happen
