Manager - Marketing and Communicaton

At STRI we are hiring a ManagerMarketing and Communication position for a Chennai based NGO. This is a remote work opportunity.

We are looking for a Managerial candidate to join our clients Marketing & Communications team. Your job will involve not only developing and implementing communication strategies but also actively engaging and managing people. You will be responsible for managing some of the MarComms team members and also a team of enthusiastic volunteers harnessing their skills to amplify NGOs messaging and impact.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead marketing campaigns for different program teams with creative strategies.
  
• Strategise & review compelling messaging and narratives for various channels like email campaigns blogs social media and PR.
  
• Set up analyze and optimize ad campaigns for user acquisition engagement and conversion.
  
• Liaise with volunteers and other NGOs in our ecosystem for marketing and communications projects.
  

Requirements

Education / Qualification:

• Bachelors/Master s degree in marketing journalism business or related field
  
• 5 years of experience in a marketing communications role.
  

Requirements & Skills:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Prior managerial experience/teamleading experience is essential
  
• Proficiency in social media and email marketing.

Minimum 5-7 years of prior experience preferably in Project management Experience of running a start-up would be an advantage Fundraising experience would be an advantage Prior volunteering experience is mandatory. Any graduate Passionate about volunteering and promoting volunteerism Should be resident of Chennai pincode 600018, or willing to relocate Good computer knowledge and MS office skills. Familiarity with using the Internet - doing online research, compiling and putting things together, Google Docs, Social Media, etc. Strong conceptual, planning, operational and analytical skills. Good interpersonal and persuasive skills to engage a wide variety of stakeholders - citizens, bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, non-profit founders, policymakers, etc. Ability to manage and implement programs and get results as the core focus Very responsive - quick to get back to people, always available. Fluent in English and Tamil communication (written & spoken). Reliable& Dependable - punctual, good at meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of the project and its outcomes.
