About the Job:

Join as a Quality Engineer and contribute to the consistent application of quality techniques and compliance with quality requirements in our operations. As a member of the Quality Department your role will involve identifying and resolving product quality issues collaborating with customers and engineering personnel to determine root causes and generate action plans and promoting the use of problemsolving techniques for effective analysis and corrective action. Additionally you will manage quality metrics participate in quality reporting and interact with customers suppliers and contract manufacturers. This role requires a strong background in AS9100 QMS and experience in the electronics/electromechanical industry with an intuitive understanding of mechanical engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D:2016 Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Identify and resolve product quality issues
• Collaborate with customers and engineering personnel to determine root causes and generate action plans
• Review customer requirements Quality Notes (Q Notes) and alert Sales and Engineering of exceptional QNotes
• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities
• Facilitate and promote the use of problemsolving techniques
• Support and generate AS9102 reports for complex assemblies
• Coordinate with Sales Purchasing Engineering Production and CM to resolve customer complaints and concerns
• Lead PPM improvement plan for strategic customers
• Apply statistical techniques to identify product and process issues and trends
• Participate in quality reporting and management review process
• Regularly interact with customers suppliers and contract manufacturers
• Participate in supplier qualifications
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical Electrical Quality Systems Management)
• 5 years of quality engineering experience in AS9100 QMS
• Intuitive understanding of mechanical engineering processes
• Experience in the electronics/electromechanical industry
• Experience with FAA Conformity (Advantage)
• Certified Quality Engineer (preferred)
• Experience with internal and supplier audit processes
• Experience with CA/PA process
• Certified AS9100 auditor (advantage)
• Experience with FAI and AS9102 reporting process
• Working knowledge of Reliability Analysis software (preferred)
• Current knowledge of MILSTD requirements

Qualification Requirements:

To succeed in this role you must possess excellent attention to detail the ability to balance multiple projects in a fastpaced environment and strong problemsolving skills. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision demonstrate initiative and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Strong communication skills both written and verbal are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint is required.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires sitting standing walking reaching and lifting up to 30 lbs. It also involves personal interaction with company personnel and the use of a computer and other office equipment. Close vision peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus are necessary.
