As the Assistant General Manager Supply Chain Management you will play vital role in building resilient and efficient supply chain for raw materials procurement and support the dynamic needs of the Pharma BU. As a strategic leadership role you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of raw materials specifically tailored to Research & Technology (R&T) needs.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Candidate Requirement
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for the procurement of raw materials in alignment with the Research & Technology (R&T) needs for the Pharma BU.
2. Vendor Management: Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers ensuring a secure and diversified supply chain for raw materials while negotiating favourable terms and conditions.
3. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement proactive measures to mitigate disruptions ensuring a continuous and reliable flow of raw materials for API production.
4. Quality Assurance Collaboration: Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that raw material suppliers meet and maintain highquality standards adhering to regulatory requirements.
5. Cost Optimization: Implement costeffective strategies including bulk purchasing and supplier consolidation to optimize procurement costs and enhance overall financial performance.
6. Collaboration with Crossfunctional Teams: Work collaboratively with R&D manufacturing and quality control teams to align raw material procurement strategies with the overall objectives of the organization.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes to increase efficiency reduce lead times and improve overall supply chain resilience.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant guidelines governing the pharmaceutical industry.
9. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a highperforming procurement team fostering a culture of excellence accountability and continuous improvement.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Excellent negotiation communication and analytical skills.
Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Leadership experience in managing crossfunctional teams.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced procurement tools. This role is instrumental in ensuring a resilient and efficient supply chain for raw materials procurement for R&T centre.
Education & Experience
Proven track record of successful supply chain management in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on raw materials procurement for R&T.
Bachelors or masters degree in supply chain management Business or a related field.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to Pharma industry.
