Your IT Recruiter is seeking a Senior Principal NetworkElectronics Engineer for our client.
This role is located in San Diego California and has a hybrid work opportunity.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal NetworkElectronics Engineer :
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science engineering or related discipline with 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree OR a minimum of 4 years of experience with STEM PhD degree
Expertise with network design architecture specifications and equipment selection
Understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP OSPF and EIGRP
Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally Cisco IOS/IOSXE)
Understanding of advanced features like GRE IPSEC IP qualityofservice VLANs and multicast.
Familiar with network management protocols like SNMP SSH syslog RADIUS/TACACS
Ability to operate with considerable independence and to selfidentify/pursue longterm interests.
Ability to communicate well including proficiency with MS Office tools including PowerPoint and Visio
DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec CASP CISSP or equivalent.
Onsite presence at San Diego Spectrum Center at least 50%
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
CLEARANCE: Must be a US Citizen and must have or be able to obtain a Full Secret clearance before you start
Preferred Qualifications:
A professional certification specific to the networking industry like a CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
Familiar with network management applications like Splunk Firepower Management Center (FMC) and/or Cisco ISE.
Exposure to the Risk Management Framework associated security controls and STIGs.
Familiar with Windows Linux and VMWare configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.
Experience with tactical/military radio networks like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2.
Experience with (MIL) SATCOM equipment and services.
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC
Experience with Cisco Modelling Labs (CML) or Virtual Internet Routing Lab (VIRL).

FACE, Data Modelling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) - Cameo or Rhapsody, SysML, DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD. Design Assurance, System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software. Strong verbal and written communication. Familiarity or Experience with any of the following: o Data Modeling o SWF/DDE o CPL and UoP development, FACE o Cockpit Avionics, DO-178 o Air Data Computer, AHRS Integration, Civil FMS
