This is a remote position.
For an international institution based in The Hague (Den Haag Netherlands) we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with Cloud and Kubernetes experience/knowledge. As a Developer you will become part of a bigger service composed of Project Managers Business Analysts Solution Architects and Testers to reinforce this growing team.
Candidates need to be fluent in English. Candidates need to be based in Europe. A work permit is required as occasional travel is required. This position is also open for employees and contractors who would like to commit longterm.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Development and test technical environment based on Java technologies such as Spring boot MicroServices CI/CD (GithubGit Actions Maven HelmArgoCD) Kubernetes MSSQL and NoSQL (MongoCassandra) indexing solutions (e.g. Solr) HTML CSS Javascript but also modern technologies based on cloudnative application architectures;
- Microservice architectures deployed through containers in the service mesh on the Kubernetes platform;
- Develop applications and tools under the guidance and close cooperation with the solution architects;
Profile
- 5/10 years of Java Development experience;
- Experience with software development in a Kubernetesbased infrastructure networking policies LBs deployment strategies and cluster security;
- Experience with Java technologies such as Spring boot MicroServices CI/CD (GithubGit Actions Maven HelmArgoCD) Kubernetes MSSQL and NoSQL (Mongo Cassandra) indexing solutions (e.g. Solr) HTML CSS Javascript but also modern technologies based on cloudnative application architectures;
- Experience with cloud deployments DevOps and infrastructure engineering;
- Experience with Linux and MS Windowsbased systems;
- Cloud automation and infrastructure provisioning;
- CI/CD pipeline building tools (git maven Jenkins);
- Ability to write Dockerfiles Jenkinsfiles and Helm charts;
- Experience with React user interface development is an advantage;
- Fluent in English;
