Chief Development Officer

Location: Los Angeles CA
Salary:

• Design and execute the overall development strategy encompassing Events Annual Fund Major Gifts Capital Campaign and Legacy/Endowment Gifts.
  
• Coordinate ongoing annual giving initiatives ensuring achievement of financial goals and associated targets.
  
• Manage all aspects of donor cultivation solicitation and recognition including prospect list creation monthly activity reporting and progress updates.
  
• Collaborate with the Grants Manager CFO and Executive Director to ensure grant oversight and compliance.
  
• Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors coordinating visits meetings and events.
  
• Develop and implement digital fundraising campaigns and legacy giving programs.
  
• Expand and diversify revenue sources as outlined in the strategic plan including grants individual giving corporate partnerships and potential future campaigns.
  
• Act as the lead staff liaison to board committees on resource development and communications aligning strategies with the organizational goals.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  
• 710 years of demonstrated fund development and communications experience with supervisory and leadership skills.
  
• Solid experience and knowledge in grant management and administration.
  
• Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  
• Highly organized creative and selfmotivated.
  
• Proficient in DonorPerfect (or equivalent donor software system) and Microsoft Office products.
  
• Ability to plan and implement activities within policies and procedures maintain positive working relationships demonstrate initiative and accountability manage time effectively and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  
• Extensive experience supervising grants and communications staff.
