Laborer Lead

OverviewThis position will be physically located in Qatar in support of LOGCAP** The Laborer, Lead oversees team of Laborers performing work at the assigned Incineration site. Typical examples of work performed include sorting, sifting, and loading non-hazardous solid waste into hoppers for movement to incinerators, loading and removing debris, loading and unloading materials and other items, and other toilsome tasks assigned by the supervisor.ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Oversees labor staff in performance on duties at the incineration site Oversees efficient sorting or non-hazardous solid waste in preparation for burning Oversees the collection and removal of non-burnable items and reports any contraband found during sorting operations. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Experience Requirements: Three (3) years’ experience supervising laborers. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Skills: Ability to understand lawn maintenance techniques, equipment operation, and road surface repair. Knowledge and ability in computer applications. Able and willing to perform other duties as needed, as skills and program allow. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
