The Chris Mee Group, incorporating Chris Mee Safety Engineering (CMSE) and Carbon Action, is the premier specialist risk management & engineering consultancy and training group in Ireland today. We provide services in the areas of Environment, Health & Safety and Carbon Consultancy as well as Training and Placement/Recruitment services. We have centres in both Dublin and Cork and are now looking for an additional Health and Safety Consultant to join our expanding team of safety professionals.
Role and Requirements:
The consultant we seek will be a highly motivated and driven professional capable of working both under their own initiative and as part of a larger consultancy team. For the right candidate, this will be a fantastic opportunity for career development and enhancement while working with an excellent team of dedicated H&S professionals to provide a wide variety of expertise to our clients. Relevant in house and externally sourced training will of course be provided where necessary.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge and experience in safety management systems, auditing, chemical and or biological safety, fire & emergency procedures and process related safety areas.
Good project management and administration capability.
Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to mentor and manage junior members of the team to ensure projects are completed and their development progresses through providing a positive role model and strong leadership.
A full driver s licence is required. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Cork office. Hybrid working is an option with this role.
Person Specification: Ideally have a Business /Office Administration qualification Have experience of working in a fast-paced administrative environment Have excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet) Have excellent team player and interpersonal skills Have excellent telephone manner Be highly organised and motivated with a proven ability to manage a varied and diverse workload Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Be flexible with a positive workplace manner
