Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Android Developer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications using Java Android SDK and Android Studio. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the full lifecycle of Android based apps from conceptualization to deployment
- Contributing to the architecture and implementation of new features data modeling and adherence to interface guidelines
- Collaborating with the API team to define and consume API services for the apps
- Working on bug fixing and enhancing application performance
- Collaborating with multiple departments to implement features into existing application
- Deploying applications to Google Play
- Ensuring quality delivery of code through static and dynamic testing techniques
- Developing reusable application frameworks and components
Candidate Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience in Android application development preferably using Android Studio and Gradle
- Good knowledge of core Java
- Understanding of overall app architectures like MVVM
- Strong understanding of general Android constructs such as Android XML layouts Content Providers Fragments and Activities
- Experience with sqlite/Room library
- Work experience with version control systems like SVN GIT
- Comprehensive understanding of REST/JSON/XML Web Services
- Understanding of Googles Material Design principles and interface guidelines
- Extensive experience working in an agile environment
- Experience with development in Kotlin is a plus
