Senior Manager Finance

Tasks

• Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly/quarterly closing process including preparation of all journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconcilaitions for all subsidiaries (currently 4) and investigating and resolving any variances.

• Responsible for managing the monthend accrual process which requires a solid understanding of cutoffs and accruals.

• Experience with with clinical trial CMC and R&D accruals/prepaids (CRO fees investigator fees lab fees and other vendor costs) a signficant plus.

• Ability to work closely with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of all accrued expenses.

• Oversee and manage the procure to pay process from vendor creation to purchase order to invoice payment and processing of employee expense reports.

• Responsible for managing questions/issues related to the ERP system (NetSuite) in conjunction with a thirdparty vendor.

• Responsible for preparing and filing monthly/quarterly VAT and GST returns.

• Assist with the review of payrolls for all subsidiaries.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Support the external reporting process coordinating with the external reporting team to ensure that key inputs are provided timely.

• Support the independent auditors in their statutory reviews quarterly IFRS reviews and annual IFRS audits including preparation of PBCs (prepared by client schedules).

• Assist with the resolution of significant matters resulting from audits.

• Support SOX 404 General Accounting compliance including:

• Internal control documentation (maintenance of narratives control matrices/flowcharts)

• When needed: walkthroughs and testing process in conjunction with a thirdparty consulting firm

• When needed: SOX 404 audits including preparation of PBCs

• Assist the Director Global Accounting & Finance with treasury related tasks.

• Special ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field
• CPA and CIFA (Certified International Financial Accountant) or CGMA (Certified Global Management Accountant)
• 5 years of related accounting experience
• Technical excellence in IFRS
• Recognized professional accounting qualifications such as ACA ACCA CIMA
• Industry experience
• Significant experience with accruals
• Experience with international payroll
• Proficient with ERP systems preferably NetSuite
• Experience working in an international environment
• Possess excellent analytical communication decision making human relations and organizational skills
• Comprehensive handson experience with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint and other normal office software
