The Lead Teacher is responsible for instructing children in activities designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

Pay Scale:
$14.00-$16.00 per hour plus a 9% attendance bonus
Our attendance bonus is an additional 9% added to the hourly pay rate if the employee doesn't come in late or call out during the pay period. This bonus resets each pay period.
Lead Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with other teachers and the leadership team to develop creative, fun, and age-appropriate lessons using the FunnyDaffer curriculum.
- Prepare for lessons by gathering materials or setting up activities.
- Read stories and lead students through literacy activities.
- Engage and encourage students to use their language skills; develop social skills and manners.
- Support and engage with children during their playtime and physical activities.
- Strategically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce or extend learning.
- Enforce school-wide safety procedures, discipline policy, and philosophy of care.
- Supervise students in class, during transitions, lunch, and play periods.
- Ensure space and shared toys are clean, sanitized, and orderly.
- Document student developments and progress to share with parents.
Lead Teacher Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Child Development Associate or equivalent preferred.
- 45 hours of DCF training
- VPK Literacy courses preferred
- 1+ years of experience working with young children
- Must meet all state licensure requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hours/Location: Oakleaf: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
