HR Administrative Assistant

• Supports human resourcesdepartment by screening, testing, and interviewingapplicants. • Prepares payroll by calculatingpay, distributing checks, and maintaining payrollrecords. • Provides orientation for new employeesby providing information packets, reviewing company policies,gathering withholding and other payroll information, explainingbenefit programs, and obtaining signatures fordocuments. • Maintains human resources recordsfor employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination,change in job classifications, and merit increase dates as well astracking vacation, sick, and personaltime. • Administers employee benefit programincluding student loan, medical insurance, savings bond, anddisability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providingapplication information, helping with form completion, verifyingsubmission, and notifying employees ofapprovals. • Documents and tracks human resourcesactions by completing forms, reports, logs, andrecords. • Sets up and schedules complicatedmeetings for interviewees, hiring managers, employees, anddepartment heads
