Department Overview

The Supply Chain organization serves as the stewards of PG&Es annual $10 billion in goods and services spend. It is responsible for managing the procurement and handling of products and services and operates with a mission of delivering cost effective and valued supply chain services through strategic diverse and sustainable business solutions. The organization is also responsible for administering the SAP Ariba Cloud platform which is used for procurement and contracting of materials and services. Our work requires close integration with all lines of business finance and our suppliers.

Position Summary

The Sourcing Applications Specialist serves an integral role with administering the SAP Ariba Cloud platform (ProcuretoOrder and Contracts Modules) implementing system enhancements providing technical and functional support and delivering training for approximately 9100 Ariba users across the company. The position may also lead/support continuous improvement and change management efforts.

This location for this position is flexible and may be located anywhere in PG&Es service territory. Occasional travel to attend team meetings or provide in person trainings may be required.

Job Responsibilities

Administration:

• Performs administration and configuration tasks including but not limited to managing delegations approvals commodity codes templates and reports.
• Partners with Sourcing to create implement and manage catalogs in Ariba.
• Manages users roles and permission levels within Ariba.
• Supports supplier enablement activities to onboard suppliers onto the Ariba network.

Support:

• Provides technical and functional support for multiple SAP Ariba modules including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Performs testing of fixes and solutions implemented to address performance issues.
• Performs intake analysis design build test and deployment of enhancement requests.
• Logs and manages enhancement and service requests with SAP Ariba.

Training:

• Develops and updates training materials and course content; Coordinates and delivers instructorled and virtual trainings.
• Develops communications and supports change management efforts.

Continuous Improvement:

• Leads or participates on teams to develop and/or implement process and system improvements.
• Addresses issues submitted through PG&Es Corrective Action Program.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with SAP Ariba (P2O and Contracts Modules)

Desired:

• Experience with SAP ECC
• Experience with supply chain procurement and invoicing processes
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Strong time management skills; prioritizes work efficiently ability to meet deadlines and determine preventative actions to keep on track
• Ability to work both independently and crossfunctionally within a geographically dispersed team
