About The Role:

As an Elementary Strings Teacher you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for music and developing musical talent within students across multiple elementary sites within the Fresno School District. This position involves planning communicating and executing effective instruction based on the California Standards for Music and the Teaching Profession.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strings lessons that cater to the needs of each student aligning with state standards.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students in learning and develop their problemsolving and criticalthinking skills.
• Continuously monitor student achievement and adjust your teaching methods based on student data.
• Manage and organize the repair servicing and replacement of instruments and equipment.
• Plan and organize student concerts creating opportunities for students to showcase their talents.
• Implement policies procedures and mandates as required.
• Prepare and submit requested reports and plans in an accurate and timely manner.
• Participate in professional development and pursue opportunities to grow professionally.
• Participate actively in school district and department activities and meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other staff including administration counseling clerical and other teachers.
• Work with parents and community members to provide for the instructional needs of music students.
• Foster positive relationships between students staff and community members.
• Facilitate the social and emotional growth of students by providing a positive musical experience while developing and encouraging lifelong participation in music.
• Perform all other obligations mandated by laws or Board policy and other reasonable and appropriate tasks assigned by the Administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Music Education or a related field.
• In the process of obtaining a teaching credential or already credentialed.
• Experience teaching strings at the elementary level.
• Proficiency in playing and teaching various string instruments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
