The Manager Corporate Accounting will serve as a senior leader within the Corporate Accounting team, directing broad aspects of global operations, including establishment of accounting process and practices for global fixed assets and cost accounting operations. Must be a self-starter and work with limited direction while takes full ownership of the areas of responsibility and provides solutions and alternatives.
As the Manager - Corporate Accounting you will oversee and be responsible for global fixed assets and cost accounting transactions. You will assist in establishing and maintaining fixed assets and cost accounting policies and procedures worldwide.
The Associate Director will also identify and help implement policies to improve efficiency across the fixed asset and cost accounting process. This role will require proven experience with building strong relationships and working cross functionally with Corporate Accounting and subsidiary leaders, tax, IT, finance, and accounting teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the global fixed asset teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Understand complex accounting transactions related to fixed assets
- Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of all fixed assets
- Play a key role in new ERP implementation to configure and setup fixed asset processes using industry best practice methodology
- Monitor global fixed assets for completeness and accuracy; work with Operations and Global Financial Solutions to resolve issues as needed
- Research and document technical accounting and reporting issues as required
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation; regularly interact with business leaders and senior level management on fixed asset matters
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree with major in Accounting
- US Citizenship
- CPA required
- Strong financial background with 3+ years related experience, including 3+ years of public accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial statements and accounting theory
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues
- Management experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word with strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear communication to all levels of management
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment
Preferences
- Experience in Oracle and SAP
- Experience in telecommunication or technology industries
- Experience in managing global fixed asset departments
15+ years of operational experience in finance/ accounting, and a minimum 5+ years in a high-growth SaaS company, including 3+ years as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager Big 4 audit experience a plus Detailed knowledge of ASC 606 and relevant current accounting rules relating to software, SaaS, and services revenue recognition. Advanced project management skills organization, prioritization, goal setting, execution, accountability Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and work within tight deadlines. Motivated and eager to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas to improve processes. Strong written communication skills. Strong communicator comfortable presenting to executive management. Excellent working knowledge of Excel Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting for venture stage or private equity backed companies a plus Sage INTACCT knowledge a plus
